Is the Venus Factor a Good Plan for Winter 2014?

First off, I’d like to point out that this review is purely based on my own personal experiences and are entirely my own opinion. You are under no obligation to purchase anything.

Venus Factor is a workout program designed and developed exclusively for women, and I’m going to discuss the possibility of a Venus Factor scam. Though the basic purpose of the program is to help women lose weight and get it shape, the Venus Factor aims to go beyond that. The overall goal is to give every woman the feminine, sexy look she desires but is unable to achieve. As a result, you not only get slim and smart but your curves also come into the right proportions. You cannot ask for much more than that from a workout program. But, does Venus Factor work and does it work for every woman?

The program is based on a nutrition-and-exercise regimen women are to follow when they sign up for the Venus Factor. There is a 12-week Undulating Metabolic Override Nutrition Protocol with an exercise module. Over the course of 12 weeks, you are to follow the dietary and nutritional guidelines as provided by the program. You also have to follow the exercise regimen, working out three times a week. As long as you follow the program to the letter, there is little doubt that it works.

To give you a better idea of whether this program is effective or not, here are the pros and cons of the Venus Factor:

  • Venus Factor is a comprehensive and wholesome workout program that covers all bases, including nutrition. As a result, women are able to enjoy healthy and safe weight loss.
  • The program is quite simple to follow. The instructions are laid out in a clear and concise manner. You shouldn’t have any trouble understanding what you have to do at any given point in the program.
  • Many women have been successful at losing weight and achieving the look of their dreams by following the Venus Factor. You will find countless authentic ‘success stories’ online.
  • The program is designed for women. Therefore, it takes into account the specific needs of women when it comes to nutrition and exercise. Most workout programs have been guilty of getting women to follow instructions better suited for men.
  • Venus Factor offers topnotch customer support. Any question or complaint you have will be addressed and responded to in a matter of minutes.

Watch the Presentation

  • The fact that this program is designed for women is a drawback as well. Men cannot use and lose weight through this. However, the author of the Venus Factor, John Barban, has designed a separate program for men based on the same principles, which is known as the Adonis Golden Ratio.
  • This program is not for women looking for overnight weight loss success. You need to put in considerable effort and make a commitment to complete this program to see the results it promises to deliver. It will also require you to change your lifestyle to some extent.
  • You might have to spend a few extra dollars on buying exercise equipment and special food as prescribed in the nutrition plan.
  • The sales process does come across as very flashy and hyped-up.

What Makes the Venus Factor a Bit Different?

  • Most workout routines either promote the use of supplements, intense workouts or a strict diet. Venus Factor is unlike any other workout regime, which is one of the reasons for its success. Its prime focus is on nutrition and a program which includes extensive exercises.
  • The exercises in Venus Factor will not just slim you down. They define your body to the correct proportions. Slimming can be done through any workout routine. But achieving a subtle physique is something Venus Factor focuses on.
  • Never before has a program as such been introduced only for women. Most workout routines are designed for both women and men. Therefore, some aspects of a routine are extremely difficult for women. Venus Factor is designed especially for women. It makes sure that women work hard to lose weight and get in shape, but it doesn’t induce extreme stress like unisex workouts do.
  • Should you have any questions or confusions regarding the program, the Venus Factor customer support staff will gladly help you. This is something not all workout programs offer. Venus Factor stands by its promise to help you achieve the body you have always dreamed of.

There is no doubt that the Venus Factor has proven to be quite effective for many women, and it did shed some unwanted pounds from myself (if you stick to it of course). Now that you know the pros and cons, decide for yourself whether or not you want to use it. Have you already used it? Or just have any comments? Let me know below.

Staying Safe When Exercising in Hot Weather

So far I think you’ll agree that summer has been really really good so far. In that I mean it’s been boiling hot!

Hot weather and sunlight is good for your skin, mood, well-being, and a whole lot more.

But, when exercising and trying to lose weight in the heat, there are health concerns that do come up such as heatstroke & exhaustion. Remember: it’s not only exercise that contributes to you losing weight, it’s diet as well. See: Venus Factor.

So… let’s go through how you can stay safe in the sun.

Without a doubt, one of the most important ways to stay safe in the sun is hydrating. Consistently drinking water through your regime, or even without, is very important to your health. Without consistent hydration you will start to feel dizzy, lethargic and may be at risk of sun stroke. Not a fun position to be in.staying-safe-sun

Try and schedule your workout regime either late at night or first thing in the morning. This way you are avoiding the hottest parts of the day. Between 10.00am and 16:00pm is said to be when the sun is the strongest and is best to avoid strenuous activity within these times.

Even working out outwith these timescales… make sure you have plenty of sunscreen on preferably above SPF 30. I don’t think I need to go into the benefits of sunscreen.

If available try and also protect your eyes as well as your skin. Your eyes can be seriously damaged if exposed to long-term sunlight.

As with most environments your body is exposed to, it needs some time to get used to the weather. Ease yourself in for one – two weeks before going full-on with an outdoor workout to get used to the conditions.

Along with these tips, also use your common sense. We all have one. If you start to feel dizzy or lethargic stop exercising, go inside and hydrate. Make sure you consume plenty of water and wear sunscreen.

If you do feel any longer term effects of exercising outside, stop immediately and consult a doctor. Your safety is the most important thing so don’t take it for granted. You may feel you are getting healthier by exercising, but it could be having the total opposite effect on your health.

3 Programs Which Compliment the Venus Factor

As you may or may not be aware thus far, the Venus Factor has helped thousands and thousand of women get on the right path to weight loss and getting the body of their dreams. The three programs I’ve chosen below can work along with the Venus Factor (it’s a happy coincidence they all start with ‘Truth’!), so have a browse and enjoy your new body!

Truth About Cellulite

Cellulite of one of the major problems that affect women’s self-confidence, especially since summer is just around the corner where you want to show off a bikini body and skin is on show.

The Truth About Cellulite aims to hit head on the problems that occur with cellulite, and go as far as too cure the problem completely. Written by Joey Atlas, a renowned fitness instructor, the program includes video guides and step-by-step instructions on how to cure cellulite, brilliantly explains what cellulite actually is and why it occurs, and steps to take to stop it from ever coming back.

Truth About Abs

The Truth About Abs by certified personal fitness trainer Mike Geary is one of the most popular abs program on the market today. The program is a ‘one stop shop’ for abs, including fitness charts, diet guide and workout plans.

This program is very straight-forward, not telling you to buy diet pills or crazy workout schedule… it’s gives practical advice and spot on techniques to get the abs you desire. The simplicity is one of the downsides, whereby all the information could be easily found online, but it packaged in a way that is easy to understand and follow.

The Truth About Abs also includes bonuses such as guide to get a leaner body and explanation of fitness ‘lingo’ which you might not otherwise understand.

Truth About Fat Burning Foods

By Nick Pineault, the Truth About Fat Burning Foods is a program as the name suggest… all about food and diet. Nick clearly lays out food to eat, which to not, and some surprising things which you might not know. The program is the outcome of a 7-year study into health, nutrition and the proper way to lose weight.

Similar to the Truth About Abs, this program doesn’t have anything which necessary can’t be found online, however it could take a long time to discover all the information on your own. I also like the fact that scientific resources are linked to in order to improve the credibility of the advice.

6 Kick-Ass Reasons to Lose Weight

Shedding that unwanted poundage doesn’t only benefit the way your appearance, it can have massive effects on your life, such as social life, mental health and mood… to name a few. So with that mind, let’s take a look at 6 Kick-Ass reasons why you should lose weight.

1. You’ll Love Yourself

Too many people search for love, without actually loving themselves first. How can they expect someone else to love them, if they don’t love themselves? And the same goes for you, love yourself.

Losing weight and taking pride in your appearance should not be for anyone else but yourself. For example, even when I’m staying in my house all day, I literally feel better about myself if I get dressed and take pride in my appearance… even if no one else is going to see me.

2. Confidence

Coinciding with ‘love yourself’, taking pride in your appearance and loving yourself will naturally have a knock on effect on your confidence. The old phrase “look good and feel good” does actually have some real life meaning.

3. Winter Summer is Coming, Woo!

We’ve all been there… summer is just around the corner, you’re overweight and dreading going to the beach and wearing that swimsuit. What more motivation do you need than to look freakin’ awesome in your favorite swimsuit?

4. Progress at Work

Staying in shape and eating healthy is scientifically proven to boost your mental health, be more alert and have more natural motivation. Remember eating that McDonald’s and feeling lethargic and slow? Well… the opposite is true when eating healthy and exercising; you will feel more energetic and ready to put your focus on progression and achievement.

With increased mental strength you can dedicate yourself to your job, and be able to give 100%.

5. Shock your Friends and Family

There is no better feeling that seeing someone you’ve not seen in a while, and totally blowing their socks off with the way you look. Compliments from people can greatly improve your confidence.

6. Have Time for the Important Things

This might be the most important point of all, with all the lost time looking for clothes that fit, staring at yourself in the mirror wishing for change, gorging out in front of the TV… you can use that wasted time for good.

Spend time with friends, read that book you’ve not had time for, go visit that art gallery… what ever floats your boat! Just do it.

What I do is ask myself…

In what way is this helping me in my life?

If the answer is nothing, I seriously think about what I’m doing and if I can be doing something more productive.

Losing Weight Positively Affects Other Areas of Your Life

When asked about their motivation for losing weight, most people would point towards getting healthier and looking better. There is no doubt that weight loss helps improve your appearance and overall health and well-being but there are several other areas of your life that are positively affected by it. Let’s look at some of the effects.

Effects on Emotional Health

Being overweight or obese can cause a great deal of emotional stress. For one, people with weight issues have a hard time being accepted by those around them. Also, they can be the subject of ridicule which could lead to depression and other mood related issues. Losing weight helps people regain their confidence. They start liking themselves which enables them to feel good about life in general. This way, they are able to cope with emotional issues in a better way. It also helps reduce their dependence on food. They don’t resort to eating to feel better.

Effects on Mental Health

As mentioned above, being overweight can lead to depression. Feeling low and isolated canmental-health-weight-loss lead to other mental problems. Over time, the person becomes obsessed with his/her weight level and the way he/she looks. If there is no improvement on that front, it leads to mental health issues. It can be hard to counter stress and other psychological problems when you aren’t getting enough exercise and are relying on food to help you deal with emotional problems. Weight loss will clear your mind and allow you to think straight for a change. Strong mental health can also help in keeping weight off after it’s been lost.

Effects on Social Life

Low self-worth is a relationship killer. Having low self-esteem can not only affect romantic relationships but also friendships. People suffering from weight issues tend to feel they aren’t good enough for the people they are around most of the time. This feeling leads to their isolation and they often end up staying alone for long periods of time. Obviously, this wreaks havoc on their emotional well-being. Losing weight helps them reinstate their self-worth and consider themselves worthy of the relationships they share. This leads to a healthier and more enjoyable social life.

Effects on Professional Life

Weight loss can also help you in your professional life. Firstly, your health improves so you will start feeling better and not fatigued all the time. This would enable you to be more productive and deliver better results than before. Also, your interaction with your colleagues and superiors would improve which could open up doors to more success. If you feel your career is stuck in a rut, it could well be because of your weight problems.

These are some of the areas of your life that are positively affected by weight loss. There is no doubt that weight loss could prove to be a significant event in your life and change the course it takes in the future. Knowing that you are going to benefit from it in more ways than one serves as the motivation you need to keep going and reaching the finish line. The Importance of Leptin When Losing Weight

To lose weight, you have to convince your mind to send the right signals to your body. Once the brain instructs the body to lose weight, the calories come off faster and you can also reduce your appetite. In this scenario, there is a particular hormone that can help your brain communicate the right message: Leptin. It is said that people who fail to lose weight despite valiant attempts have a shaky Leptin regulation. If your Leptin levels are off, you will find it hard to shed the extra pounds you are carrying.

leptin-when-losing-weightThe main purpose of Leptin is to let the brain know that you are full and don’t need to eat more. Talking technically, Leptin transmits ‘satiety signals’ to the hypothalamus in the brain. The hypothalamus is the brain’s control center as far as eating is concerned. Once your mind has been notified of the feeling of satiety, it instructs your body to eat less. Everyone, apart from three people in Turkey, have Leptin in their bodies. Therefore, there are no issues on this front; your body does produce Leptin.

Leptin has an important function to perform. It lets the brain know that you have eaten enough. If there is Leptin deficiency in your body, your brain will never get to know that satiety has been reached. As a result, you will continue feeling hungry and keep on eating. The aforementioned Turkish citizens have been known to eat for hours on end without showing any signs of feeling full. The reason for this is that in the absence of satiety signals, your body goes into starvation mode.

In starvation mode, the body assumes that the meal you are eating is your last. Therefore, it allows you to stuff your face with food without you feeling full at any stage. This can lead to rapid weight gain, something which you surely aren’t looking for. To sum everything up, you cannot lose weight in the absence of Leptin in your body. That is how important this hormone is.

Now there are a couple of ways you can improve Leptin regulation in your body. The seemingly convenient option is taking supplements to boost Leptin levels. However, these are only recommended for people whose bodies don’t secrete enough Leptin for genetic reasons. Since you already have this hormone, you only need to ensure that your body uses it in a better way. The ideal solution here is following the Leptin diet. Here are the rules of the Leptin diet:

  • Take a break of at least five to six hours between meals.
  • Each meal should contain proteins and carbohydrates, particularly your breakfast.
  • Don’t eat anything after dinner. Keep a 10 to 12 hour gap between dinner and breakfast.
  • Avoid overeating by eating slowly. This will give your system enough time to register satiety.
  • Divide your food intake into three meals a day.
  • Once every week, eat a meal high on carbs and oil to prevent stagnation.

There is little doubt that Leptin is important for weight loss. So make sure that your body has enough of this hormone by following the Leptin diet.

Why Most Diets are Doomed from the Beginning

As far as weight loss is concerned, the formula seems to be fairly straightforward. If you reduce your calorie intake and increase your level of physical activity, the pounds should drop off. However, sometimes this doesn’t happen. Try as you may, the weight doesn’t come off and you are left heartbroken, and you may have a very good reason to lose weight. Several people have experienced failure trying to lose weight despite making a diligent effort. Scientists finally decided to find the answer to this conundrum and conducted extensive research and testing.

According to them, some diets are doomed from the beginning; or the affects they have will wear off with time. They offer little to no chance of success; therefore even going ahead with the diet is a waste of time and energy. There are a number of reasons why a diet may be doomed from the beginning:

Desensitized Gastric Nerves

The leading cause of weight gain is fat-rich food. If fast food and junk food has been your diet for some time, it is possible that your gastric nerves have become desensitized and are unable to perform their function properly. The nerves are responsible for informing the brain when the stomach is full. That is when you realize that you have eaten enough. Eating fatty foods on a regular basis makes it difficult for the nerves to transmit this information instantly. Therefore, even after changing your diet, you keep on eating more.

Lack of Leptin

Leptin is a hormone that signals the brain to curb your appetite and burn the calories you leptin-for-weight-losshave piled on. However, the lack of Leptin in your system would mean that your brain doesn’t get the right signals, leading to a loss of appetite. 99% of diets require you to cut down your food intake but that is just not possible if your brain does not allow you to reduce your appetite. Also, if your body is unable to burn calories, physical activity will be useless.

Apple-Shaped Body

There are two types of body shapes people have. According to the experts, people with an apple-shaped body find it harder to lose weight as compared to those with a pear-shaped body. The reason for this is that people with apple-shaped bodies feel hungrier than others. This is due to the unstable levels of insulin in their bodies. Also, their body does not produce enough Leptin to help reduce food intake.

Wrong Type of Gut Bacteria

Research has proven that the bacteria residing in your gut influence your diet and metabolism. There are some types of bacteria that aid weight loss while others don’t. Having the wrong type of gut bacteria can hamper your weight loss efforts. Even if you launch an honest attempt to diet and lose weight, the absence of the right type of bacteria in your gut will make it difficult for you to achieve your goal. However, this is one thing you have little control over.

These are the reasons why most diets are doomed from the beginning. As you can see, it has more to do with the person attempting to diet rather than the diet plan itself. Therefore, dieting isn’t harmful. You can try your hand at it, but make sure that it is the right option for you before you start.

Over the years, some have developed a callous attitude towards obesity and don’t make the required effort to get the extra pounds off their bodies. Those who fit in this category are the ones who end up suffering as being overweight can lead to a number of health problems as well as issues with self-esteem. Choose Healthy Snacks

Whenever you feel hungry between meals, which is completely avoidable if you portioneat-healthy-food your meals, choose healthy snacks over junk food. It is tempting to grab a bag of crisps and devour it when you are hungry. Though it will fill your stomach and end your hunger, it will also thwart your efforts to keep your weight off.
